                         INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
 
 
INTRODUCTION:
 
    RTIC_TSR is a Terminate and Stay Resident that should be loaded before 
    running the IBM RTIC diagnostics on a Compaq Deskpro 386/20e Personal 
    Computer.  The Compaq Deskpro 386/20e fails the IBM diagnostics test.
 
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
 
    COMPAQ Deskpro 386/20e
 
WHO SHOULD USE:
 
    Use this program if your Compaq Deskpro 386/20e fails the IBM 
    diagnostics test when using the IBM RTIC Card.
 
HOW TO USE:
 
    1.Copy the file RTIC_TSR.COM from the distribution diskette to a 
    directory in the system's path.
 
    2.Run RTIC_TSR to install patch. A message will be displayed indicating 
    that the patch was installed.
 
    3.Insert RTIC diagnostic disk into drive A:.
 
    4.Change to A:
 
    5.Run COMMAND to start diagnostic program.
 
 
IMPORTANT NOTE:
 
    To run the diagnostics program, do not boot from the diagnostics disk 
    as stated in RTIC manual.  Boot from the hard disk as usual.
 
EFFECTS ON SYSTEM
 
    The patch program uses approx. 600 bytes of system memory.
