DATAP.COM INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INTRODUCTION: DATAP.COM is a TSR program for use with a COMPAQ computer that is experiencing timeout errors with the "DATA PHYSICS CORPORATION" solution in signal processing software with a DP420 board. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: COMPAQ SLT/286 or SLT 386s/20 or LTE 386s/20. DATA PHYSICS CORPORATION FFT analyzer software DP420 board WHO SHOULD USE: Use this program if you are getting TIMEOUT errors when running SIGNAL.EXE HOW TO USE: 1. Copy the program DATAP.COM from the distribution diskette to the fixed disk subdirectory containing the FFT analyzer software. (i.e. \FFTA) 2. If you use the program RUNFFTA.BAT to start your analyzer software, then you may just copy the new program RUNFFTA.BAT from the distribution diskette to the fixed disk subdirectory containing the FFT analyzer software. (i.e. \FFTA) 3. If you do not start your analyzer software with RUNFFTA.BAT, then you should enter the following before executing SIGNAL.EXE. DATAP (Enter) Then when you exit your analyzer software, after executing SIGNALDE.EXE, You should enter the following: DATAP U (Enter) EFFECTS ON YOUR SYSTEM: 1. Since this is a TSR (Terminate & Stay Resident) program, it will use approximately 480 bytes of system memory. 2. Once installed, the patch can be uninstalled by executing it again with a "u" on the command line, thereby freeing the 480 bytes of system memory.
