CPQMEM.EXE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This program allows the COMPAQ SYSTEMPRO base memory to be set at 512K
(permitting the Banyan ICA card memory to map from 512K to 640K).
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
COMPAQ SYSTEMPRO
COMPAQ MS-DOS Version 3.0 or greater.
WHO SHOULD USE:
Use this program if you wish to set your SYSTEMPRO base memory to 512K
and to switch it back to 640K.
HOW TO USE:
1. From the A prompt, type CPQMEM.EXE then press <ENTER> to run the
program from your distribution diskette.
2. Once the opening menu is displayed, continue to press <ENTER> to
open the sublevel menus.
3. The last sublevel menu will allow you to choose between 512K and
640K for base memory by pressing <ENTER>.
NOTE: You can only change the content of the highlighted block.
All other information can not be modified.
4. The number in the highlighted block represents the base memory
that your system is set in (or will be set in). Press F10 to
save your choice and press <ESC> until you return to the A
prompt.
5. Reboot your system to make the change effective.
Comments:
There are no command line parameters.
EFFECTS ON YOUR SYSTEM:
The base memory of your system is now set to your choice (as
determined in step 3 above). If it is set at 512K, you need to use
the program CF12.EXE to run the COMPAQ System Configuration, CF.EXE.
