INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION:
WINIPX.COM is a program for use with any 386 COMPAQ Computer products
experiencing problems when running the following combination of
software:
Novell Workstation IPX shell
Novell Netbios Emulator
Any Netbios applications (e.g., DCA Irmalan Gateway)
IBM Lan Support Program
Microsoft Windows 3.0 (Enhanced mode) on AT LEAST one workstation
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Any COMPAQ 386 systems and IBM Token Ring adapter.
WHO SHOULD USE:
You should use this driver if you encounter system lock-up or
timing-out problems when running a Netbios application with the above
hardware and software configurations. Please note the presence of
Windows 3.0. This driver should not be applied if you are not using
Windows 3.0 Enhanced mode on at least one workstation.
If you use Windows 3.0 Enhanced mode on all the workstations, the
problem might not occur.
Important note: WINIPX.COM should be applied only to the workstations
NOT running Windows 3.0.
HOW TO USE:
1.Copy the driver file WINIPX.COM into the same subdirectory where the
Token Ring IPX driver is located.
2.The order of loading software is as follows:

IPX.COM
WINIPX.COM (needs to be loaded IMMEDIATELY AFTER IPX.COM)
...
NETBIOS.EXE
INT2F.COM (recommended by Novell)
3.The following logo will be displayed as WINIPX.COM is loaded:

WINIPX.COM will not allow multiple installations. The following error
message will be displayed if it detects that it has already been
installed:

EFFECTS ON YOUR SYSTEM:
WINIPX.COM will consume about 300 Kbytes of system memory. You can
unload WINIPX.COM once it is loaded by typing:
WINIPX /u
or WINIPX /U
The following message is printed if WINIPX.COM can unload itself:
WINIPX version 1.0

*** WINIPX successfully unloaded ***
If any TSR is loaded after WINIPX (e.g., NETBIOS.EXE), WINIPX will not
unload itself, since these latter TSRs might be hooked into WINIPX.
The following error message is displayed as a warning:
