EMA_XBDA.SYS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS The EMA_XBDA.SYS patch is a device driver to prevent shared memory errors. These errors occur in programs executed under Windows 3.0. When a program like Manifest or Mapmem is executed the system locks up or gives an error message regarding a memory conflict. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Any 386- or 486-based system with integrated mouse support using Microsoft Windows 3.0 and attempting to run Compaq Computer Corp., Mapmem or Quarterdeck, Manifest. WHO SHOULD USE: The patch is required when programs like mapmem or manifest (or other programs that sense memory in a similar manner) are used under Microsoft Windows 3.0. HOW TO USE: Include the line "DEVICE=[D][\PATH\]EMA_XBDA.SYS" in your CONFIG.SYS file. This line MUST follow the line that defines CEMM.
