The NetWare installation process will appear to be completed successfully, but when the server is started, the system will be very unstable and will eventually hang. HOW TO USE: 1. For users who install NetWare from another NetWare Server: - Change directory to LAN_DRV_.408 - Rename the files ACPQT416.OBJ BCPQT416.OBJ CCPQT416.OBJ DCPQT416.OBJ for backup reasons. - Change directory to SHGEN-1 - Rename the file CPQT416.LAN as a backup. For users who install NetWare from diskettes: - Insert the diskette labeled LAN_DRV_408 in drive A: - Rename the files ACPQT416.OBJ BCPQT416.OBJ CCPQT416.OBJ DCPQT416.OBJ for backup reasons. - Rename the file CPQT416.LAN as a backup. 2. Copy the files xCPQT416.OBJ from the patch diskette CPQ416_4 to the correct directory (LAN_DRV_.408) if you are installing from another server or the correct diskette (labeled "LAN_DRV_408"). 3. Copy the file CPQT416.LAN from the patch diskette CPQ416_4 to the correct directory (LAN_DRV_.408) if you are installing from another server or the correct diskette (labeled "LAN_DRV_408"). 4. Reinstall NetWare. The logo for these new drivers will have a string "(BETA)" displayed when the server initializes each LAN segment. This is to indicate the difference between an old driver, the enhanced version and a newly released driver (which will not have the Beta string) which supersedes the enhanced driver.
